Dr. Liao is a neurologist, whose clinical and research interests focus on functional movement disorders and functional neurological disorders, including normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). He uses various technologies, such as deep brain stimulation, wearable sensors, motion analysis, and neural signal recordings to assess and treat patients. Dr. Liao is particularly interested in the neural control of gait and gait impairment and has 7 peer-reviewed first-author research articles.
